How we work with social enterprises

Social Enterprise taking on the Construction Industry

CCI Scotland  were looking to grow their business in a sustainable way that would support the ongoing success of their charity, Clydesdale Community Initiatives.

CCI Scotland are an award winning social enterprise that provides landscape solutions for small and medium sized projects across Scotland. One key factor of their business is that its operations are entirely to the benefit of its charitable arm, Clydesdale Community Initiatives, which provides health benefits and increases social inclusion for people affected by mental health, learning difficulties and socially disadvantaged young people.

The support we provided included:

  • Researching market opportunities within the construction industry
  • Working with the management team to set key objectives
  • Developing a business plan that would support funding requirements
  • Sourcing funding to support business growth
  • Coaching and practical support on business development and dealing with new client in the private sector such as national construction companies

"Taylor Nisbet brought fantastic energy and focus to the crucial growth stage of our social enterprise. For those of us moving from social care and community development backgrounds into social enterprise business planning is usually the easy bit. The business expertise that Taylor Nisbet brought to bear made an enormous difference in turning all our plans into genuine business reality. Despite her clear uncompromising business approach, Taylor Nisbet never lost sight of the importance of our social mission."
